BOARD INSULATIONS

FBX 1800 SUPERGLAS BOARD is
composed of semi-refractory fibers and is recommended as a specialty insulation
for temperatures up to 1800 degrees F. FBX 1800 Superglas Board is supplied in
large, lightweight sheets which can be fabricated. This board is used where
space is limited, such as in baffles, heat shields, and gaskets in high
temperature equipment. Available in single layer thickness of 1/8", 1/4" 3/8"
or 1/2"
FBX EXPANSION JOINT BOARD is
composed of high purity aluminum silicate fibers and a special organic and
inorganic binder system. The organic binder dissipates at a temperature of
approximately 500 degrees F to produce a "loose" ceramic pad. Its preformed
shape permits installation with refractory materials, thus eliminates hand
packing of expansion joints with loose fiber. It is water repellent and may be
used in direct contact with castable refractory.
